The normal way to pass the beginning of the Iron Lice room is to punch the first Iron Louse and wait for it to be attracted to the bar above it. However we discovered it was faster to jump onto the louse and ride it across the gap:

With additional daring, it is even faster to get a charge from the last Volt Walker in the Thunderbolt room and use electric field momentum to bypass the first half of this room entirely:
